Getting started

How much does a solar system cost in Queensland?

Pricing depends on system size, roof type, components and any battery. Once STC incentives are applied, a typical home system is far more affordable than many people expect. We provide a fixed, itemised quote after reviewing your roof and bills.

What size system do I need?

Most Queensland homes suit 6.6 kW to 13 kW, but the right size depends on your daytime usage, future plans (such as an EV or pool) and your network's export limits. We size every system from your actual bills.

Is a battery worth it?

A battery lets you use stored solar in the evening and can provide backup during outages. With the federal battery program the payback has improved significantly — we'll model the savings for your household honestly.

Do you service regional Queensland?

Yes. We install across South East, Central and regional Queensland, including the Darling Downs, Wide Bay and beyond. Get in touch to confirm your area.

How long does installation take?

Most residential installs are completed in a single day. Commercial and off-grid systems vary with size. Grid approval and meter changes can add a few weeks, and we handle that paperwork for you.

Systems & ownership

What warranties do I get?

Panels typically carry 25-year product/performance warranties, inverters 5–12 years and batteries around 10 years, plus our workmanship warranty of [X years].

Do I need to be home during installation?

Not necessarily, but we need access to your switchboard and roof. We'll walk you through the system at handover.

Will solar work in winter or on cloudy days?

Yes. Output is lower on cloudy days, but Queensland's climate delivers strong year-round generation.

What's a feed-in tariff?

It's a credit from your electricity retailer for excess solar you export. Rates vary by retailer.

Do you offer maintenance?

Yes — we offer system health checks, cleaning and inverter servicing.

Are you CEC accredited?

Countryside Solar is a [CEC Approved Retailer — accreditation number to be confirmed].
