What makes it different.

JA Solar DeepBlue 5.0 packs up to 495 W into a light 21.5 kg dual-glass format with N-type TOPCon cells, at up to 24.5% efficiency. It's CEC-listed through to 2029.

How it works, simply: a panel's wattage is its output under standard test conditions, and efficiency is how much of the sunlight hitting it becomes electricity. Higher efficiency means more power from the same roof area.

It suits standard residential arrays that want high wattage at a mid-range price.

For Queensland conditions, the datasheet figures to note are a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, which is how much output it loses for every degree the cells run above 25°C (Queensland roofs can run 30–40°C above that); a rated rear (wind uplift) load of 1600Pa; salt-mist corrosion certification (IEC 61701 certified, level 6), relevant for coastal homes. Cyclone-region installs also depend on the mounting system and roof structure. We design to your wind region and AS/NZS 1170.2.
