What makes it different.
GoodWe's EHB is a single-phase hybrid inverter with four MPPTs, so it can handle roofs with panels facing several directions. It supports backup and pairs with GoodWe batteries, and is monitored in the SEMS portal.
How it works, simply: a hybrid inverter converts DC power from your panels into AC power for your home, and also manages a battery on the same unit. It decides moment to moment whether solar goes to the house, the battery or the grid.
It suits homes with complex multi-orientation roofs that want a battery-ready hybrid at a sharp price.
For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -25 to 60°C, and its enclosure rating is IP 65. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Can the EHB series be installed outside?
The manufacturer lists IP 65. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.
