What makes it different.

SolarEdge HD-Wave Genesis works with a power optimiser on every panel. Each panel is tracked individually, so shading on one doesn't drag down the rest, and you can see panel-by-panel output in the SolarEdge app. It includes rapid safety shutdown and lists up to 99.2% maximum efficiency.

How it works, simply: the inverter converts DC power from your panels into the AC power your home uses. MPPTs (maximum power point trackers) let panels on different roof faces each work at their best.

It suits shaded or complex roofs and owners who want panel-level visibility. A SolarEdge Home Hub is needed for battery storage.

For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -40ºC to +60ºC, and its enclosure rating is IP 65. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Why we install it.

  1. Optimiser per panel

    Reduces mismatch and shading losses.

  2. Panel-level monitoring

See every panel's output in the app.

  3. Safety shutdown

DC voltage drops to safe levels when AC is switched off.

  4. 12-year warranty

    Per SolarQuotes comparison data.

What warranty does the SolarEdge HD-Wave Genesis have?

The manufacturer warranty is 12 years. Terms may require product registration. We register it for you.

Can the HD-Wave Genesis be installed outside?

The manufacturer lists IP 65. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.
