What makes it different.
GoodWe's DNS G3 is a compact single-phase string inverter for 3 to 6 kW systems, in an IP66 enclosure for outdoor installs. The warranty is 10 years when the inverter is registered on GoodWe's SEMS portal, and 5 years otherwise.
How it works, simply: the inverter converts DC power from your panels into the AC power your home uses. MPPTs (maximum power point trackers) let panels on different roof faces each work at their best.
It suits budget-conscious solar-only systems on simple roofs.
For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -25 ~ +60°C, and its enclosure rating is IP66. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Can the DNS G3 be installed outside?
The manufacturer lists IP66. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.
