What makes it different.
REC Alpha Pure-RX is a lead-free heterojunction (HJT) panel known for strong hot-weather output (−0.24%/°C) and low degradation. Under REC ProTrust, with an REC-certified installer, the warranty also covers labour.
How it works, simply: a panel's wattage is its output under standard test conditions, and efficiency is how much of the sunlight hitting it becomes electricity. Higher efficiency means more power from the same roof area.
It suits Queensland homes that want maximum output in heat and a premium warranty.
For Queensland conditions, the datasheet figures to note are a temperature coefficient of -0.24%/°C, which is how much output it loses for every degree the cells run above 25°C (Queensland roofs can run 30–40°C above that); a rated rear (wind uplift) load of 4000Pa; salt-mist corrosion certification (IEC 61701 certified, level 6), relevant for coastal homes. Cyclone-region installs also depend on the mounting system and roof structure. We design to your wind region and AS/NZS 1170.2.
