What makes it different.
Fronius Wattpilot Home 22 J charges from solar surplus from as low as 1.38 kW, integrated into Fronius Solar.web with Eco and Next Trip modes. It's untethered, so you use your own Type 2 cable. On single-phase it charges at up to 7 kW.
How it works, simply: a smart charger measures what your solar is producing and what your home is using, then adjusts the car's charging current so it soaks up surplus solar rather than exporting it.
It suits Fronius inverter owners who want the charger, solar and battery in Solar.web.
For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -25 ºC to +40 ºC, and its enclosure rating is IP 65. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Can the Wattpilot Home 22 J be installed outside?
The manufacturer lists IP 65. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.
How fast will it charge my car?
Charge speed is limited by the charger, your supply (single- or three-phase) and your car's onboard charger, whichever is lowest. We'll check all three.
