What makes it different.

Zappi is the original solar-diverting EV charger. CT clamps measure your home's export, and in ECO or ECO+ mode Zappi charges the car from surplus solar that would otherwise go to the grid, independent of your inverter brand. FAST mode charges at full power whenever you need it.

How it works, simply: a smart charger measures what your solar is producing and what your home is using, then adjusts the car's charging current so it soaks up surplus solar rather than exporting it.

It suits solar homes with almost any inverter that want to charge on sunshine. It's available single-phase (7 kW) or three-phase (22 kW), tethered or untethered.

For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -25°C to +40°C, and its enclosure rating is IP 65. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Why we install it.

  1. Works with any inverter

CT clamps read the grid connection directly, so it doesn't rely on inverter integration.

  2. ECO, ECO+ and FAST

Mix solar and grid, use pure solar surplus, or charge at full speed.

  3. Tethered or untethered

Choose an attached cable or a socket.

Ask a question →

What warranty does the myenergi Zappi have?

The manufacturer warranty is 3 years. Terms may require product registration. We register it for you.

Can the Zappi be installed outside?

The manufacturer lists IP 65. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.

How fast will it charge my car?

Charge speed is limited by the charger, your supply (single- or three-phase) and your car's onboard charger, whichever is lowest. We'll check all three.
