What makes it different.
Sigenergy's AC EV Charger is built for the SigenStor ecosystem, with pure-solar and solar-boost modes controlled in the mySigen app. The core model is 7 kW, with 11 and 22 kW variants listed by SolarQuotes.
How it works, simply: a smart charger measures what your solar is producing and what your home is using, then adjusts the car's charging current so it soaks up surplus solar rather than exporting it.
It suits SigenStor and Sigenergy inverter owners who want EV charging in the same app as solar and battery.
For Queensland conditions: the manufacturer specifies an operating range of -30 - +55 °C, and its enclosure rating is IP 65. In hot climates many systems reduce output at the top of their range, so we install out of direct afternoon sun with clearance for airflow wherever possible.

Can the AC EV Charger be installed outside?
The manufacturer lists IP 65. In Queensland we still avoid direct afternoon sun where possible, because heat can reduce performance, and we'll recommend the best spot during the site visit.
How fast will it charge my car?
Charge speed is limited by the charger, your supply (single- or three-phase) and your car's onboard charger, whichever is lowest. We'll check all three.
